Alan is the partner in charge of the employment law team and has many years’ experience in employment law, representing employers and advising on how to get the best possible outcome. He can assist you with getting your employment agreements fully compliant with the law as well as with personal grievance claims, mediations and Employment Relations Authority hearings. He also advises employers on their Health & Safety issues.
 
Alan is a Past President of the Employment Law Institute (2009-2013) and advises employers throughout New Zealand. His long relationships with employers (big and small) means he understands what keeps employers awake at night and how to resolve those concerns. He will listen carefully to what your needs and desired outcomes are and deliver advice and support in a practical and easy to understand way.
 
As well as looking after employers in the business sector Alan also advises many Not For Profit organisations in relation to their employment and Health & Safety issues. He is the Legal Counsel for NZ Lions and NZ School Trustees Association and is on the Board of Camp Quality (bringing fun and happiness to children living with cancer).
